The National Fundraising Awards 2018

The National Fundraising Awards 2018
July 4, 2018 Nick Hames

The National Fundraising Awards ceremony, one of the highlights of the fundraising calendar and now in it’s 28th year, took place on Monday 2nd July at the Brewery in London. The Production Hub sponsored the event and were joined by host Steven K Amos and hundreds of fundraising professionals to celebrate the spectacular work and herculean efforts of all of those involved in the sector over the past 12 months.

“The Production Hub has sponsored an award for many years now and we truly believe it is so worthwhile to take a moment to recognise what everyone involved in fundraising has achieved. This year has been one of the most challenging and rewarding periods since I have been involved in charity marketing and seeing our work and others presented makes me proud to be part of it.”

Best Individual Giving Campaign – Sponsored by The Production Hub

The Production Hub sponsored the Best Individual Giving Campaign which was won by Terrence Higgins Trust and the campaign ‘Be Proud. Be Sexy. Be Safe.’. The content and engagement focused campaign delivered an outstanding return on investment with 84% more monthly donors than target and 44% lower cost per donor.

A Changing Sector

It has been just over 1 month since the introduction of GDPR and 1 year since the launch of the Fundraising Preference Service. Charities today are trying desperately to remain innovative and creative in their marketing activities while having to stay on the right side of what is often a vague set of compliance guidelines and the court of public opinion.

Here at The Production Hub we work with numerous top 100 charities and we can see first-hand how things are changing.  Where only a few years ago campaign planners were exclusively focused on the return on investment an appeal could yield, today compliance goes hand in hand with effectiveness. The legitimate interest analysis required for cold mailings for instance is now just as important as the pack itself and is placing even more pressure on the sector to do more with less.

“Charities and Not for Profit organisations are having to work much harder just to maintain the levels of income they need to deliver their services. With fewer potential donors to target and increasing regulator obligations it is so important to work with a partner you can trust. We continue to make investments in software, services and accreditations to respond to these changing needs and it is our ability to adapt and support clients that has helped us become the partner of choice for the sector.”

As always, The Production Hub continue to invest in services to help clients achieve compliance peace of mind without sacrificing direct marketing campaign ROI. Retaining a tight chain of custody of campaign assets, undertaking comprehensive data cleansing in-house and maintaining 27001 compliance standards are just a few of the reasons more charities than ever are choosing to partner with The Production Hub.
