We are delighted to be sponsoring the 2023 Bluestep Charity Softball League. The League was founded 20 years ago by charity workers who wanted to come together and do something fun in the summer. Over the years the league has grown with around 80 teams comprising people from over 120 charities. Rivalries have been established and the finale is one of the most hotly contested events in the third sector!
However, the League represents more than just softball. It provides a chance for charity workers to swap ideas and learn from each other. Through the league charities gain insight and information regarding best practice from their peers, which is why we think it is such a great initiative and why we are supporting it.
2023 Team Registration closes on the 18th March so get you skates on if you want to be involved! You need 20 people for a squad. If you think you might struggle with numbers, tick ‘would like a merger’ and the organisers will make the introductions. Priority is given to merge teams in the spirit of collaboration.
The season kicks off in the first week of May. There is a new cup this year, so 1st and 2nd will go into The Cup, 3rd and 4th will go into The Plate, 5th and 6th into the Shield and 7th and 8th will go into the Bluestep Cup. All finals will be played on Thursday 10 August.
