So we are back at “Production Hub HQ” and busy reflecting on the highlight of the fundraising calendar – the IoF Fundraising Convention 2019!

Historically the Production Hub have been seen at the National Fundraising “Awards” ceremony but this year we decided to support the Convention and exhibit. With so many charity clients in the sector it was a “hub” of activity where we thoroughly enjoyed seeing existing clients and introducing our services to new ones!

We also thoroughly enjoyed supporting many seminars where we heard from some amazing speakers and inspirational fundraisers. One of the key messages we took away from the convention was the art of storytelling. We all have young children and love reading whimsical stories at bedtime – as adults, we are not so different. A good story can make or break a fundraising campaign. It was pointed out at the Convention how important it is to put beneficiaries at the heart of storytelling, be it in a direct mail campaign, door drop or any other communication channel.

This impact of storytelling was also felt at the Seminar led by Wateraid which gave an update on their latest #untapped multi-channel campaign which won the accolade “Best Individual Giving Campaign” at the IoF Awards ceremony which incidentally, was the award sponsored by The Production Hub. Wateraid generated £8.9 million with this campaign so a huge congratulations to them!
